Feeding time! "The male Eastern Bluebird displays at his nest cavity to attract a female. He brings nest material to the hole, goes in and out, and waves his wings while perched above it. That is pretty much his contribution to nest building; only the female Eastern Bluebird builds the nest and incubates the eggs."... Isn't that they way Homo sapiens used to be???For those who want to Know in SE CT.with Canon 7d MII 100 to 400 ...More Ct. wildlife images

Very nice; one of my many favorite birds.
Excellent shots - bluebirds are rarely seen around here.
Very nice. #2 is really good.

Awesome shots for sure, but I'm equally pleased with the visual information you have provided regarding bluebird house architecture. That metal washer around the opening is sheer genius - keeps those pesky larger birds from pecking a opening that suits their purposes - and the rubber mat on the roof a terrific idea as well.
Thanks for sharing on both levels. Nice work all around.
Thanks Stlawrence' Very observant !!!
Busy little parents, and loved the set, Sherwood!
