You sell your boat of course.

My enthusiasm for boat/fishing has been waning for the last 3-4 years so its been sitting in the yard most of the time. Toyed with the idea of selling and finally got serious. As of last month...its gone and so are the fees and maintenance associated with ownership.

Additionally sold the D500 and a DX lens along with a couple of unused Nikon flashes. Not abandoning Nikon, just staying current. Love my D850 even though it has some niggles.

Been exploring the A6300 and got hooked...my A7R3 arrives Monday.

You know what they say, the happiest days of a boat owners life are the day they buy it and the day they sell it. lol. Enjoy the new equipment, would love to have the Sony A7R3 but being on a fixed income and not having a boat to sell kinda leaves me with my A65 but I love it anyway.

Couldn't agree more with you, Joe...all my Nikon equipment and accessories are going on sale locally this weekend. These Panasonic four/thirds cameras have me hooked! Bought their new DC-G9 and what a "stills Camera"...amazing what the small sensors are doing and capable of. Enjoy your Sony's and post some from the A7R3 when you shake it out...fun times!!

What it comes down to is how well off are your heirs' If they don't need your money. spend it on yourself. The trick is to time it just right So that you don't compromise your life style. You always must remember--He who dies with the most toys wins.

Even if you heirs needs your money... It is not THEIR money.

Getting tired of seeing grands kids raised by grand parents when the kids themselves do not care. So... Screw them out of everything.

Back in the day of film and my college days. We were trained on Leica M3 cameras. One of the guys was told by the Professor of the photo dept. She had heard he was going on a boat. Don't take the Leica with you on the boat. Well. The boat sank. We understand that my photo buddy held the Leica up over his head as he sank into the water. lol lololo poor guy. You brought back and old memory. Good luck. Have fun. Stay healthy.

I've got the GX8. Up until now it was the damnedest camera I've ever had. It is terrific for what I do.

The G9 adds:
-better stabilization, especially for 4K video
-60p 4K video
-newer shutter with less "shutter shock" potential
-an LCD panel for quicker verification of settings
-faster/better autofocus

For the OP, I support selling boats, unneeded cars, etc to get D850s and A7R3s!

Fact: the typical boat owner in the USA uses their boat 3 times a year.

Is that the attitude God would want you to display?
