Trying to decide......
It is an awesome camera at a valued price. My regret is that I found out about it after purchasing my Canon T3i.
Good choice. I too ordered the Rebel T4i. (Back Ordered). I will use both cameras. Good luck.

My wife,Chris, bought a Sony Cybershot DSC HX200V and is highly, highly satisfied.
It does virtually everything she wishes. The 60 x zoom enables her to take shots that many other cameras would be unable to achieve. She has now had it for just over four weeks and uses it mostly for birding and other types of outdoor photography.
We are currently on a short break in North Wales (UK) and have downloaded today's shots onto the iPad. They are super.
Downside - time to process shots between clicks and lack of an adequate manual.
Her other camera is a Canon EOS 500D (rebel xxx?) together with a Sigma 150 - 500 lens, which gives her back ache at times. The Sony is so, so, light.
I would suggest looking at the Sony RX100 and Sony HX20.

I'm looking to buy either a good compact or bridge camera in the next couple of months. People on UHH have NEVER let me down when it comes to good, objective/subjective opinions, so I'm asking for your opinions now. My budget will allow me to purchase any of the latest compacts that have been released or are about to be released or I can even buy something like the Fuji X100. Having said that, you now have free reign to make your recommendations. Oh, and one other thing, please do not try and convince me to get a DSLR over a compact or bridge because my wife is also going to use the camera and she simply doesn't want a DSLR. So.....
I'm looking for your real world experiences and recommendations from those experiences. I AM WELL AWARE OF SITES LIKE SNAPSORT OR DPREVIEW OR OTHERS and I am not the least bit interested in those reviews or comparisons. I want YOUR opinion.
If you have a compact system, which one is it and why do you recommend it?
If you have a bridge camera, which one is it and why do you recommend it?
I'm looking to buy either a good compact or bridge... (

I have the Fujifilm s1500, it takes great pictures, is reasonably priced, 10 Mega Pixel resolution. I got mine at Wal Mart for about $250.00 about 2 and a half years ago. Probably much cheaper now. PhotoGuy uses the same camera for his pics. Check out his posts.
bvargas,
WOW! You gave me alot to check out. Thanks for your input!
I bought a used Canon G-!0 after talking to many of my pro friends that have been using the G series as a backup. Great camera for carrying around all day in my butt pack and it takes video too. A little touchy on long telephoto shots for sharpness but it does a job. I have had to use it with a Canon flash in the hot shoe on a coupld of weddings and it worked out real nice. Small enough my wife took it out among the guests and took closeup personel pix. I love it. The G-12 is newer and a few more features but for now I am using the G-10 along with my D series cameras.
I have a Canon G12. I can't fault it.
My friend once said so many years ago...
"All cameras take pictures better than you do".
By now I guess I'm inclined to agree
