NPR has said no such interview ever took place. There is this version, with Marine Corps Gen. Reinwald, another where Reinwald is an army general and still another where Reinwald is British. So I guess we can say it’s totally false. Who ever made it up however, does have a good sense of humor.

Some things are not easy to prove if you want actual documentation but that does not make them untrue. Even a good lie is laced with some truths and after you bite the truth they have you and can feed you the lies and you believe it.
