I'm not sure how I found this site, it was purely by accident. After lurking for a week or so I figured I would join.
I live in the small town of Bailey, Colorado with my wife, dogs, birds, and cat. I'm not young, nor old, I don't shoot with bleeding edge gear, and I avoid cell phone cameras.
I look forward to participating.
A few pictures from my old Canon 20D which I still use a lot.
Beautiful pictures! Use to live in Littleton for about 11 years prior to making the leap to IN so we could be grandparents the proper way. Before that.....Hawaii for 16 years. But I miss Colorado more than Hawaii. I'm familiar with Bailey as we drove through it on many occasions. Were these pictures taken close to Bailey? I use Photo Gallery a lot for postings. Welcome & enjoy UHH. I heard about it from a cousin who lives in Vermont, but doesn't use it. Bob
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing some photos.
Welcome to the Hog, very good posts.
I lived above Conifer for years. How do you keep the bears away from your hummingbird feeder? I Got tired of snow, fire. I moved to Firestone, next stop, somewhere outside of Silver City, New Mexico
Welcome! I live in Littleton, CO.
Moved here from Michigan and love exploring this great state. We pass Bailey often en route to Buena Vista. Really like your photos!

Welcome
i think you will like it here.
Nice opening post, and welcome to the forum, glad to have you with us! One does not need bleeding edge gear to take a nice photo, and that includes cell phones--they've come a long way.
Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome and nice comments.
Yes, both pictures were taken nearby, in our yard in fact. I have just short of a gazillion hummingbird pictures, and quite a few fox pics too.
We have a lot deer mosey through, all kinds of birds, bunnies, squirrels, and the occasional bear, most of which have found their way to to my computer's photos directory.
I have photos from all over the state, I like to explore ghost towns and off the beaten path 4WD roads. I'm a sucker for wild flowers, birds, and other wildlife.
I wasn't really bad mouthing cell phone cameras, I use mine all the time, I just try and avoid it. I am a ham radio operator, and it makes more sense to carry my samsung, when when I already have a backpack full of radio gear, when hiking to the top of a mountain peak for a sota activation.
Thank you all again!
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
