I'm old (75) and so is my equipment. I still shoot exclusively film, mostly Velvia. My newest body is a Nikon N-80 that I use mostly for "point and shoot". For serious stuff I use a Nikon F circa 1963, Nikon FTN circa 1968 and a Bronica S 2 1/4 circa ???. Film is commercially developed and scanned so I can play with it on (current version $10.00/month) Photoshop and Lightroom. Greatest moments are when I don't need Photoshop!
Why wouldn't you belong here? Photography is photography.

OLD! There are lot on here that is older than that. Im 88. Your only as old as you feel. I only feel 87.
You may be 75 with older film equipment, but you can pass years of knowledge to the photographers of this digital age. The gear may change in look but the basics of light and photography is the same! You belong here!
Welcome to the forum. You certainly belong here.

Yes! You certainly belong here. I'm a kid of 65 and the principles of image construction, enhancement, and presentation haven't changed since Ansel, Weston, and HCB... I hope you'll share some of your work.
I will offer this advice only - learn post processing via today's software. You can do things that would make any of the above photographers roll over in their graves. My hero, Adams, used the most modern and technically advanced techniques available to him.
We should too!

Age doesn't matter you are most welcome here. Would love to see some of your images.
Welcome to UHH safeman !
You have precious info that is fresh for
those few we see with all the questions who
want to try film and most of us have forgotten
the answers since we haven't touched a film camera
in decades!
Of course you belong if you want to. I am 79, still shoot professionally (30 yrs plus) almost every day. Either in studio, outside for two national magazines, senior portraits and head shots. if I have time I just shoot at new places for the fun of it. I am currently working on BIF just to learn something new. This also keeps you from getting old mentally.

"Hogwash", us youngsters, 60 in November, greatly appreciate your experience and well earned knowledge. I for one will be looking forward to seeing your photos and opinions on and in future Forums. Welcome to the Hog.
I too wondered if my skill level (extremely low with high confidence in learning I hope) entitled me to join such a group!
At 72 and picking up a DSLR trying to learn studio portrait working with small groups for their fundraising needs. I guess I'll poke around and seek advice accordingly. Thanks for having me !

Welcome and enjoy, I don't believe there are any rules or regulations that limit photographers of any talent level from joining us.
