Thanks JH2o, I have just had a whizz through that second link which is very good because it gives a map of where they have been found. I am thinking that Birch Shieldbug has some similarities but not exact by any means. I have book marked both links which are very good.

On download I can see stubby hairs coming out of those dots.. So many bugs, So many designs !

i looked,no luck but i did see a lot of shield bugs with prey.i didnt know they were hunters

Some are hunters and some are plant suckers. I don't know how one can tell what they are except by behavior.
