Hello

I was wondering if anyone liked either one of these flower shots. Both are the same flower, but with vastly different processing. Sorry, somehow the second one got in twice.

there's something strangely other-worldly about the top one. the bottom one looks like the original, but it seems to plain to be real (I am no doubt making no sense whatsoever... please forgive me - I've been up for the last 34 hours, so the vision is a bit wonky … the visual acuity probably isn't so good, either) …

I like the top one better, even if it does look somehow odd.

Yeah, you make sense to me. Neither are an original. One thing I might mention though, is how different the effects can be in Photoshop and Lightroom with the same slider. The second image is the first one but mostly just un-dehazed. When I tried to do the same thing in Photoshop, I got a completely different look. It wasn't yellowish at all, but a strange color. The original is just a somewhat red rose against a brown wall, nothing much stood out about it at all, except there was a ray of sunlight that became that yellow streak above and to the right. There was nothing that stood out about it so I played around with it a little bit and came up with those two pictures.

If you haven't already, get some sleep. 34 hours is a long time to go without sleep.
