The ones you like are the best! I prefer 1 & 5. All are great.

Very nice series, Vicki. I curious as to why the colors of the last two appear so different and less vivid than the others. Was that intentional for some reason?

Thanks for the visit and comments Bob. I intentionally reduced the saturation on the last two to give the images more of an "antique" feel - sort of a romantic Victorian look.

Vicki, these are beautiful, and probably lots of fun to do. I have some questions about how you do them. The first two are very straightforward. The third one has some lines across the "table" that I can't figure out. Are they from whatever lighting you used? Some of them seem to have double reflections. How did you do that? It's an interesting affect.

Thanks for taking time to look and question the effort Cathy. The table has a metal support that shows through depending on how I handle it. I had to decide whether I was comfortable with the look and ultimately tried to cover it with a black, plastic garbage bag (if you can believe that!). I concluded it was distracting but thought I'd show a shot with it knowing I'd get fairly honest feedback from forum members. The fact that you "can't figure it out" speaks volumes, telling me that it shouldn't be included. Double reflections result from the thick glass which is another issue that's not as easy to address. Whether it's an interesting effect or a distraction might be a good topic for discussion.

Not sappy at all. I do like the first shot best!

Thanks for taking time to look at this series Randy. I'm glad you liked the first shot. You seem to be in the majority on that one.

Vicki, I believe they are excellent and love the reflection you get via the mirror.

I'm glad you enjoyed this group Greg. I keep coming up with more ideas as I play with arrangements on this table. If nothing else, I have to keep the surface dusted.

I think they are lovely. One can be called worse things than a romantic!

Your kind reply is greatly appreciated Ben. Yes, guilty as charged. I much prefer romantic comedies over action/thriller books and movies. It might be safe to say these slightly reflect my personality.

Creative and artistically managed, Vicki! I love how you have thought through the still life, arranged the ribbons and pearls. The ring is a nice, subtle touch. The lilacs are nice with the lavender colored rose. All lovely, kind of an anniversary feel of love.

Thank you once again for a most thoughtful reply Carla. You're photography has been most inspiring, but I keep struggling to get more "mood" in my lighting. If you picked up on the "anniversary feel" I was after, I've been successful.
