In Leyland my hometown, the local council have been erecting varying objects depicting the history of the town. The latest one is "Bobby the Iron Horse" commissioned by South Ribble Council and sponsored by CW Berry the largest supplier of building materials in the area.
http://www.blogpreston.co.uk/2017/10/theres-now-a-giant-metal-horse-in-leyland/The Iron Horse has been erected next to a very busy roundabout with 5 exits, 1000's of local drivers see it every day so it can be quite hazardous to find a suitable position to take photographs.
I visited the spot in mid-afternoon when the traffic was reasonably light so I was able to take a few shots, here are a couple of them.
The brown area on the horse's body is actually rust and the white/silver is stainless steel which creates a lovely effect.
Excellent shot and info John.
Excellent capture and a very interesting piece of art!
