Just got off the telephone with CanonUSA.COM and ordered the Owner's Manual for my SX60HS Canon bridge camera. I have been looking at the manual online and did not want to print the 203 pages myself. It was not a good experience looking at it online. If I had known that I could order the manual online at no cost I would done it much sooner. Just wanted to pass this info forward in case anyone else needs the owner's manual. Canon said it would be 2 to 4 weeks before I received it. Keep on shooting!

With the typical camera manual, there's is usually 20-25% of it one could skip printing and not miss anything. Electronic device compliance statements, for example. And the accessory products pages don't really need to be printed either.
I only print the pages that I may need to use for reference during shooting. Everything else stays in digital format.

I find it far easier to download a PDF of the manual and load it onto an iPad. Portable, searchable and more sustainable.

I would love to have paper manual if I can get it. (But may be I never use it afraid of damaging it)

Well maybe 20-25% of a 30 page manual, but this is a 203 page manual. By your reckoning that would come to 40-50 pages which is highly unlikely. And, in any case the OP would still have to print over 150 pages!

As you say, rgrenaderphoto. In today's market very few items come with good manuals anymore. Usually they have a "quick setup guide" or some shortened version of the full manual.

I generally download the PDF manual file and keep they listed until I get rid of or break whatever the item happened to be. If I am working on something particular, I will print off the page or two that I need.

Agreed - before a recent trip I put my manual in pdf format on my iPhone. I don't necessarily enjoy reading on my iPhone, but if I needed it, I would have it.

I have printed camera manuals for all of my Nikons. However, I almost never use them. I have pdf versions on my desktop, laptop and my cell phone. It's more convenient and because I have copies on all of my computers (including my cell phone) I always have access... rather than with paper that I left in the office, bedroom or where ever.

If you do not mind paying for your printed manual, I have gotten several printed manuals from OTC Ltd. for several of my Nikons. They can be had nicely bound or as a spiral bound booklet. While not pocket size, they easily fit in your camera bag or backpack. They offer a variety of manuals for Cameras, Smart Phones, and Tablets. I know they're coming from the UK, but I've always received them within two weeks of ordering.

I use a simple 16 GB small Flash drive and have all of my manuals (cameras, lenses, photos, addresses, some music, etc.) on them. I must have a dozen of them ...have one in each camera bag, on my car keys, desk, office, etc. They are cheap, more than a high capacity, and I can use them on any PC anywhere...including Costco, Walmart, etc.
