That is a false statement. It is not that easy as you think. There are structure in place - Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, tent buddies assignment, buddies check, etc...... Most likely, campground assignments will be in a separate area once the girls joined on board. Remember, they will have their own troop so it is not a mix troop like Venture. We just need to wait once the final details are in place. Of course, it is never a bullet proof system. Worked with our youth over the past 15 + years, I have only experienced 2 bad apples over ~ 500 kids. That's about 0.004%. Everything starts out at the home..........

fhadfield - On pc mode now, I can further explain about LDS leaving BSA programs. LDS has ~ 16 millions members all over the world. Ultimately, LDS would like 1 youth program for an entire world. In the past and til today, LDS disliked current BSA programs because every country has their own version; programs are not the same as a whole.
About the name changed........The news has mis-informed the public. BSA name still remain the same as an overall organization. The name that we heard "Scouts of America" - is for incoming girls that would like to join BSA/ to learn BSA skills/ to pursue the trial to Eagle. This will be under the BSA umbrella.
S.O.M. will be an identical structure as the current BSA, they will have their own SM, ASM, SPL, ASPL, PL, etc...... host their own meetings....... There will be time Troops(boys & girls) will do activities together (just like any 2 Troop).
Our society has changed; ie - No bully campaign at school or 0%. Kids learned to get along, play with one another, etc..... The new generation is not like the old. More and more families would like to do thing together as a family; especially a single Mom or a single Dad. There are high demand.
There is nothing wrong with the current Girlscouts program. It's just not for every girls. It's possible because of their Dad, Uncle, Grandfather, sibling or friends were in BSA and they got to know and like the program. I have worked with several female leaders at District, Council and National level, they were great with the Boyscouts.
BSA programs teaches life skills and leadership to the Youth. If you were in scouting or know of then you would know how prepared the boys are when they completed the program. Simply amazing young leader.
If you are not familiar - 7 ranks > Scout > Tenderfoot > 2nd Class > 1st Class > Star > Life > Eagle. You have various amount of requirement under each rank. Each time a Scout completed/master their skill then a Board of Review to follow. This is where one will pass or fail. Just visualize a youth at an age 10/11/12/13 -17 walk into a room full of strange Adults. Can be 2-5 Adults, Adults that they never meet before(some from their troop, their district, and/or their council). The process can take up to 5 minutes - 1.5 hours long depends on the rank advancement. The Adults take turn to ask questions, etc....afterwards, they will give a final consensus - to advance a Scout or not ready to advance............... just visualize this. Later into the program, a Scout has become an expert with communication skills. This will come in handy later in life when they go for a job interview and/or to communicate with Adults in general. Girlscouts do not have this structure. Another reason, they like the BSA structure. Overall 2 great programs - BSA and GSA but different flavors for certain youth.
Who knows may be one day the boys can join Girlscouts to learn their skills. Overall, no one like changes................. for sure BSA doing their best to stay up to date in today society. Our old ways of thinking is slowly irrelevant in today Youth and society at large. God bless America and God bless the BSA.

Acceptance is not always an improvement. In fact if you embrace evil then you not only allow evil but become evil yourself. The Boys Scouts have succumb to the pressure put on the by the liberals. It is not that the liberals want to become better, they want to change the program so that they will feel accepted with all of their perversions. If the liberals like the program why not change to meet the requirement of the program instead of degrading the program to fit your low standards. But now they have created more problems than they have solved. Too some morals, virtue, ethics and values supersede everything else. One can accept the problems as they have become and even rationalize them into thinking they are good but others will never see it that way. It is like America we were the #1 country in the world and some think they can turn it into a third world country and have tried their best to do so, all the while thinking they have made an improvement. They never want to elevate the good but bring them down to the other level. But as long as they are in charge it must be good.

Architect, I agree with you on this one. As a further thought, it was wonderful that men mentored young boys on how to be good men. It was a male experience and females have no place there. I do view it as an attack on men and masculinity. Democrats want EVERYONE TO BE INCLUDED IN EVERYTHING, after all, THAT'S WHO WE ARE! RIGHT?? Libtard political correctness at it's worst. It is a dis service to young men in this country and they will be the losers. The country will lose. My son was a scout and it was a wonderful experience, sad to see it go down the libtard path.
