Personal Challenge

Once in a while, I'll challenge myself to go out and shoot with only one body/lens combo. Today it was my a7rII and 100-400mm.

I'm ALWAYS a tripod shooter, but should add that these are all handheld just to see what could be produced.

Good exercise. I do similar from time to time, but use one of my prime lenses. You did quite well.

I don't use primes since my Navy days circa 1965 so find zooms serviceable today...

Ah come on, how much challenge is there with a 300-mm range? Just teasing, these are beautiful shots and show the versatility of that lens. I'm sure many folks don't even consider for close-up.

Well, here's another solution to inspire creativity. Simply pick one focal length on any of your zooms and stick with that for a whole day.

So, pick a prime focal length? My point was that a quality zoom can produce images that are worth viewing, regardless of focal length.
