Hello, I am new to this website, and love it so far. I have a photo i took yesterday of a maple tree in my backyard. I would appreciate any critiques of this photo. I am pretty new to photography and I purchased a canon t2i camera about two months ago. I have been practicing taking photo with different settings so i would love to get some feed back regarding this photo. I love the colors.
thanks for any comments

I am not a professional photographer so I can't critique but I know what I like and this is a good one, you have the colors just right and I can say these maples are so pretty this time of year and you caught this one well, thanks for sharing

I love the photo...maples are my favorite in the fall but not very fond of them in the spring with all their little "helicopters".

Possibly the only thing I might change if it were my photo is to crop off some of the grass which would bring the tree closer to the eye. I like it dead center in this particular photo...
I also like the green leaves at the top of the photo....great job

Howie I disagree. You don't have to be a pro to critique. How are you going to improve if you don't critique yours and other's work. It causes you to look at the work carefully. I just tell them up front to take me with a grain of salt and if I mess up royal someone will jump in and set me straight and we both will have learned something.

Your colors are great, Dusty. I think I would have gotten closer to the ground and tilted the lens more towards the sky, so that you still get the green leaf framing with more of the fall colors showing.
