I think they are more afraid of us than the opposite... I hear chicago is fairly happy about the coyote population as they like to go after rats... Not sure if that is true but if so that is a good thing.

Not too long ago, there was a spotting of a coyote in the middle of Manhattan... lots of rats there also!!
