Even though I still have a pile of snow 4 feet deep in part of my backyard we have seen signs that the promise of spring/summer weather might be upon us. In the past few days we have welcomed the first early migrants to our feeding stations. The Sparrows arriving to gorge themselves on my seed and suet. So far we have the Foxes, the Songs, the Chipping and a few American Tree's waltzing around the back 40. Won't be long before the rest of them along with the first warblers will arrive. There are still a few northern hangers-on (Juncos, Siskins and Redpolls) with us. Probably they just like the idea of free and plentiful food that we put out. But these characters should be leaving soon to make room for the new kids on the block. Won't be long before the breeding urge will be upon them and they will head north to their stomping grounds.
Guess its just about time to get the chairs and tables out on the deck so we, I and my better half can put our feet up and enjoy the crystal clear sounds of the Sparrows songs. Time to put the cafe away and pull out the cider.

Beautiful shots! I have to LOL because when you posted "the foxes..." I thought you meant the four-legged ones! HA!
