These are my latest Huntington Beach Pier photos of surfers. Over the years I've been experimenting and developing a HDR system for action shots. These are best viewed in download mode.
Very Nice Shots πππ

Nice work something different.
Very nice, what lens were you using and setting if you donβt mind sharing
Frank
Really enjoyed your series Brent. I'm not, nor ever was a surfer, but #5 looks awfully calm for what's probably coming next.

Fkaufman3, thank you for the compliment on this series. The lens is my new favorite lens in my arsenal: Canon 100-400L Mark II. that lens bumped my photos up a notch or two.
The settings are basicly these: 1000th of a sec, F5, ISO 300-400 depending upon the light. 1000th of a sec freezes the surfer and water splashes very nicely.

Why thank you NikonGal for your positive remarks about this series. #5 has been altered somewhat. I tipped that photo.......if you examine the fins, they are nearly out of the water! The surfer was "kicking out" which means he was ending the wave. There was no real bad things about to happen.
