How to remove "noise"

Yesterday I watched an Aaron Nace from Phlearn youtube video on using PS and surface blur combined with an underlying layer blendif. It looked like it works pretty well on images with heavy noise. He also showed other techniques like using the denoise sliders in LR and ACR.....

That wall is reflecting so much light that it just threw your exposure off. With a less reflective background I bet your photo would have been perfect, with proper skin tones. Don't rely on auto focus for shots with that level of contrast between the background and foreground. Software does a great job correcting the colors, but you might have to sacrifice a little detail when cleaning up the noise.

Viewed the download on iPad screen and didn't see obvious noise. What part of image shows noise?

For your first question how to remove noise. I use Imagenomic software, its a 3rd party software that you can used with Photoshop. This does a better job then Photoshop reduction tool. The only problem when you use a noiseware tool you will lose some detail. I also used the unsharp mask tool. 2nd question. This is what I did to get the results of your photo, I did this in 45 min. if I was doing this for myself I good of easy spent 2 to 3 hours on this picture.
Step 1 Select the Suits using the polygonal lasso tool.
Step 2 Click on layer, new fill layer, solid color, color, and change the opacity.
Step 3 Select Face and hands using the magic wand.
Step 4 Same as Step 2

Suits, faces, hands, wall, hats etc.etc. The noise level is very high.
Think that just confirms my opinion of iPads.

Sorry but I couldn't resist after your iPad comment. I'm using my Samsung tablet and it is quite easy to see the noise. 😁

You must have been shooting if you didnt know what the ISO was and the camera did . This photo looks like it could be shot with a flash and ISO of 100 , also up the exposer comp before raising ISO. If you cant change the WB in LR or another program you ned to set to right lighting.

This one looks like the best color, albeit too bright.

I use my tablet to read this forum and it will display nef files. I use my computer for LR and PS for MY photos, not photos on here.
