PaintShopPro x4 has a lot of what PhotoShop does and is only $40-$60 depending on which version. Has lots of cool effects if you want the artistic versions and a lot of help for bringing out the depths of pictures. I have been able to find a lot of the controls that people mention in PS and sure didn't have to spend that much $$

Well, you're right, partially. The post processing in photoshop merely adds another aspect to the art. It is however, expensive and difficult to learn. If one is old and inflexalble and learning challenged, or one of those that thinks that the old ways are the best. Perhaps they should stick with thier brownie starflashes and old film cameras. Ansel Adams did okay with film and black and white after all. Karsh made some good money in Ottawa with film. Most stock photography companies refuse pics with too much pp. But photoshop and pp are a new and different science. There is a place for old fashioned point and shoot and new fangled post processing. Both of your photos could have been helped with photoshop by the way.
Well, you're right, partially. The post processing... (

And your point is? That's where I prove it's mostly "superior" snob appeal that makes PSe attractive. Phunnie, but I keep seeing more and more comments regarding Google's Picasa which convinced me too throw out my PS Elements Disc and tutororial. Old fashioned? Your equating dollars to describe talent is what's the matter with our hobby. Though I have sold many of my images pre digital processed in my darkroom and am now a commited digital shooter who doesn't look back, I still consider myself a hobbiest willing to learn but not exploit.
So, again, I ask, "What's your poiont?"
Incidently, since when is PSe new? I had my first edition over twenty years ago and didn't think much of it then---only thing I used it for was to rid enlrged(remember enlargers)portraits, of dust. Thought: How do you suspect Adams was able to produce such clean prints?
Love this thanks for the chuckles
I wish there was that undo button in life. Wouldn't it be great, make a mistake and just hit the undo button. Sigh, been on the computer too, too long.
This a good one, I wish they could have done that when I broke my leg. Six months in plaster cast was soooo much fun

I do a lot of photography for different businesses. Half the fun of it all is to play with these pictures.

hahahhaha oh if it were that easy...
I used to have that attitude too...GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
then I learned a little and realized it is just too much fun to play
not necessarily to fix something...although that is nice too...but to find something new.......
I agree. Half the fun and finding something new.
Photographers have been manipulating images from the get go.
If you have the tools use them.
Funny cartoon. How about cosmetic surgery by Photoshop. Oh, we already do that.
