Many thanks my friend. I had fun trying this. Who knows where this will lead?

I apologize in advance since I love what you've done with this.
However, I would have liked it even more had you included the whole reflection (even blurring slightly, the reflection).
I enjoy your work and feel badly making this suggestion but it's just my crazy mind at work.

This subject was a bit different for me. It cried out to be centered, never mind rule of thirds. I shot the bowl combo on a glass table (I left a hint of the brown metal support to help anchor the image) with a black velvet background. The camera was on a tripod. A remote shutter release was used, and light came from a flashlight.

Vicki, an excellent, fantastic photo. You nailed it.

I have to give you "KUDOS" Vicki... You did a superb job of rendering an extremely difficult object perfectly.

When I attended The Art Center College, many years ago, one of our assignments was an advertising shot of just what you photographed. Only we had to incorporate a bottle of wine with it.

Beautiful image, Vicky. I would love to have seen the reflection of the entire glass at the bottom, though.

I like your idea, Vicksart.

However, to me, it's not truly centered. If you look at the image you will see there is more black on the left and a little less on the right.

I would, and it's just my opinion, try again but put the flower a little more on it's 'side' and try to get the reflection of the stamens growing out of the flower.

Vicki, the "rule" of thirds works for somethings, not for others. This is one of those others. Very nicely done.
