This is one very tiny hyperactive little bird...it's one of the smallest songbirds in North America...and the male very seldom raises that red crown unless upset about another bird in its territory. Fortunately for me I caught it upset about a Warbler that shouldn't have been there. Will post that Warbler another day

Excellent shots of a very cute bird, especially #1. I have not heard of this bird before, so I enjoy seeing its photo.

Thank you merrytexan...so glad to know you liked both the little Kinglet and my shots!
Jan, all five are fantastic, but the first and fifth ones are about as good or better than any I ever recall viewing! I've taken a few shots of one overwintering with us this winter, but they are not nearly as good as any of yours!
It is SO sweet!!! Such excellent shots, and even more so when you realize how tiny and hidden it is! Like a little Napoleon--small, yet a lot of bluster!
Stunning little bird nice set.
