Not often I get the chance at catching these two types of birds on the same branch. They usually dont feed together as the Redpoll, even though it is a smaller bird, is way more aggressive at the feeders. The Polls feed first and the Finches come in later, usually at dusk. With the weather being so unspringlike these two decided to be friends if only for a few minutes. Probably one of the last pics I will be getting of the Redpolls as they make their way north to the boreal forests for breeding season. Once they are gone then the main group of the Goldfinches will move in and eat me out of house and home.

My apologies for not replying to all whom visited and commented on my posting. Have been indisposed for the last few days at the local treatment centre (hospital that is) and was unable to post any replies. All postings were looked at and appreciated by yours truly. All is now well ( hopefully ) and I'm back online.
Again, thanks for all the kind comments.

PS - this getting old can be at times a big pain in the butt (along with other parts of the anatomy 😁😵😁😵)
