I thought this was cute, I know Photoshop has its place in the world of Photography, personally, I prefer shots right out of the Camera, no medicine or healing required..

excuse me if I offend or not appropriate here, it was sent with a sense of humor..I love the Hog, the Fokes on here and all the photos posted..

Photoshop is used in medicine not only in reconstructive to show what the procedure will look like but to improve x-rays so breaks and such can be seen.

If you shoot in raw and do not alter the images in any way apart from cropping, then how do they compare with the much adjusted, altered\modified files the camera produces when you shoot in JPEG?

Absolutely no idea what you mean..

Air compression, file compression??

Yes JPEG is compressed but the images are still altered\adjusted to make them look 'more appealing'

hahahhaha oh if it were that easy...

I used to have that attitude too...GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
then I learned a little and realized it is just too much fun to play

not necessarily to fix something...although that is nice too...but to find something new.......

I shoot with a Nikon D90 and primarily have always set the format to JPEG (fine). I use Photoshop Elements 9 to process my exposures. I want to switch formats to RAW so that I have the ability to bring out the best in each exposure. Can I use Elements 9 to process RAW images? Does Elements 9 have the ability to show a histogram for an exposure?

This has often crossed my mind when something in real life needed fixing... LOL "I WISH!"

To refine my question even further, exactly where on Elements would I find the tools to work on RAW files? I see that Elements offers a quick fix and a guided fix, but is there a section for a RAW fix? Also, where can I find histograms on Elements? Thanks for your patience. I'm entering new territory with digital after working with film for 30 years.
