Tamron 150/600 for Norway yes or no

Looking for insight on taking my Tamron 150/600 for the fjords of Norway. I know it is heavy to carry, just curious if anyone would
think this lens would have a useful purpose on the very long distance shots. My other option that will go is the 18/140 for most images.
This will be my first trip to Norway, last trip to Alaska I wished the 150/600 was with me. My D5300 Nikon will handle either very well.
New to this site so I hope my post is on the right guidelines. Thanks for any help.

Yes.
And you answered your question with your wish of having brought it to Alaska :-)
...and bring a monopod also...
I brought my 150-600 to Hawaii, Caribbean, and for sure will be bringing it to Alsaka on our next cruise.

Since it's Norway and not Sweden, I say yes! (Denmark would be a toss)!

Different strokes for different folks. I shot Norway with Kodachrome and a nifty fifty on an FA. I would have liked a 35mm... for my needs, I’d never use a lens with that much reach.

A tripod is more appropriate for your trip to the windy, cloudy, and cold area. I think that the reach is too much since there is not a lot of variety in wildlife, just lots of wonderful waterfalls, great black sand beaches and crazy skies. I have been there twice and the most used lens was a 24-120mm ff. It was still pretty heavy when on my D750 and I used the tripod a lot, carbon fiber. There is lots of blowing sand, ice and rain so the tripod worked well, even did some stacking. You will get wet so a raincoat for you and the camera/lens are very handy. And have some small towels to wipe off the gear plus some good lens paper to keep your lenses clean and clear. Wonderful place for photo ops. Enjoy your trip. The people are extremely nice.

Only you can answer that question. You mention the fjords. Take a look at other photographers or magazine images of the places. See if any look like images that you might like to capture. R U looking for great majestic images, or closer more intimate ones. Or try to contact a camera club/group from Norway and ask them.. I am assuming that the reason you are asking the question is your reluctance to lug around a bunch of heavy equipment..(If it was me that would be the game changer...) Another idea might be to borrow (or rent) one of those really nice (and small/light) fixed lens digital cameras. I tried one at a zoo one time, and it was GREAT. They have lenses that start from 18-20mm and (some if I remember) go up to 300-400. (I THINK there is one that goes even longer.) And they produce great images....

I don't get these people that ask should I take this lense or that. I won't go so far as to say bring everything, for some that would be impossible. I will say if you going on a trip you need to pack the full RANGE you have available. Whatever you leave home you will wish you had before you get home. For me? My bag is packed if I don't have it with me I don't own it!

If you do carry it, take a tripod with a gimbal head

Thanks to everyone for the replies some good suggestions. This will be my second trip as an amateur and all your tips are very welcome.
GMCJim, sorry to have bothered your day with my request, My intent was to see if other travelers to Norway would share their ideas.
Going from black and white to digital equipment leaves room for help from the experienced master photographers. Thanks to all.

I would rather take the Sigma or Tamron 100-400 and crop @ 400 if need be and use pixel enlargement if need be. Much smaller/lighter.

We have been to Norway a couple of times; both times I took my Nikon D700;first time, used a Nikkor 24-120 /f4; second time, Nikkor 24-70 /f2.8. Both times I wished I had brought / bought / rented a longer lens (200-500?) but now that I look back on it, I got some great shots with what i had. All that stuff gets heavy!
