Thanks all! Was on tripod, have to use Auto focus-bad eyes. Yes, will increase ISO - leading to higher f stop on shutter priority. May even try apperture priority with higher ISO. Cannot get closer to subject without losing angle of seeing the eagle on nest. This nest is huge, saw it from the back side last year, its almost 6-7 ft wide. So if the eagle is on the back edge and I'm not right on the subject I'm already in trouble.

Thanks for all the suggestions, am planning to go back this coming Sunday and Monday, warmer and sunny. Just hoping old man winter will finaly give up tormenting all of us in the northern states!
