The new Canon Mirrorless can be pre-ordered at Adorama. It has a 3" touch-screen and lists for $799. I have enough cameras and don't plan to switch from DSLR during my lifetime. After that, the sky's the limit!

OK that was a pretty good joke... I did read a review on that camera and it is not enough to get me to make the switch... it does have an adapter that will allow you to use your EF and EFS lenses but I don't really see any advantages over the DSLR other than some of the video capabilities and touch screen that have already been incorporated in to the 650.
On the other hand the I am still somewhat attracted to the bridge cameras that offer something like 24 to35x zooms on them even though they don't have interchangable lenses, I have two dslr bodies and would maybe consider selling one with a lens to trade for a bridge while keeping the other dslr and a few very special lenses for those times that a bridge just won't cut it.
The Canon EOS-M camera has the same sensor as the T4i -- an APS-C sized one. Only one other mirrorless camera has this sized sensor. The rest are smaller. The EOS-M sensor thus should produce an IQ equivalent to the T4i, dependent on the lens used, of course.
I've earlier considered buying one of the other mirrorless cameras, yet when I drilled down in the specifications, I found the shutter lag unacceptable. Only one review I read mentioned the shutter lag as slower than a DSLR.
Ken Rockwell has a write-up on the EOS-M camera:
http://kenrockwell.com/canon/eos-m/m.htmHere's the Canon description of its new, EOS-M camera:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_m_ef_m_22mm_stm_kitHere's the Canon specification for EOS-M shutter lag:
Shutter Lag Time
(1) During SW-1 ON, time lag between SW-2 ON and start of exposure: Approx. 0.05 sec.
(2) Time lag between simultaneous SW-1/SW-2 ON and start of exposure: Approx. 0.2 sec.
* Time lag with the aperture stopped down by 3 stops or less. Excludes AF operation time.
I'm inclined to buy this new camera, but then I own the Canon S100 and the Canon T4i. Both deliver to my expectation given their specifications. Yet the EOS-M has novelty on its side.
We shall see.

How can you be sure the "sky" is the limit? With the trouble you cause around here you may be going the other way. That "invisible camera" thread you started is probably at 50 pages by now. It's alway fun though. I'm just glad I never started any crap on UHH.
