Thank you for your response, however, there are no experienced or knowledgeable folks involved in this church website. We are the great uninitiated (two folks) standing alone shoulder to shoulder in this endeavor. However, we have a lot of enthusiasm and are eager to learn from our fellow UHH Brethern. Generally does a web designer have the ability to resize photo? If so then the OP can simply send them whatever size image he has after cropping. With a 30MP camera he has to crop a whole lot to have it too small for the web. So generally the images will be larger than needed then the web designer simply resize it down to any size he wish. Quality won't suffer much even with JPEG. With uncompressed format the quality won't suffer at all.

Pixel dimensions, not physical size / 'dpi', is what matters here. Get a 1920x1080, or better even smaller, monitor of any size and evaluate what you see. Ultimately, that is the best anyone can do.
