Hello everyone; Not sure exactly when I joined Ugly HedgeHog, but have been a member for a little bit and have been wanting to post some pictures but I can't seem to get those jitters and camera shakes under control---especially when its cold out---but, yesterday, and for the first time ever since visiting the nearby Wild-Life Sanctuary, I came across this Snowy Owl and couldn't resist.
I should probably explain the quality of the photographs first and I'm sure many of you will obviously see how bad the quality is...
I'm fairly new to digital photography...my Canon T6 is my first digital camera and have only had it for about a year and still can't get used to many of the functions so I go with what I've always done with my 35mm film Camera....Manual Everything! Except lately I've been relying solely on auto-focusing...
Anyways.., the quality: not too used to having to physically drop the camera from my face to set the film speed or the aperture and now with the T6, the light setting...although I am pretty familiar with that little function and have a custom setting for all my outdoor pictures that has been very reliable....yesterday however, I forgot to switch it over from incandescent lighting from shooting indoors to my custom setting....not even sure where I was when I realized I hadn't reset it, but I was definitely not here taking pictures of the Snowy Owl.
Please Enjoy as I Enjoyed taking the pictures and posting them for you all!!
Camera: Canon T6
Lens: Canon 75-300 zoom lens
Speed: 400
Aperture: variable between 13 and 20
Shutter: 250
Thank-You...rough thing about being excited when a chance like this comes up for me, is I forget to make sure I have the correct light setting. LOL
Here is a quick correction in PS Elements 14. Hope you don't me doing this. ...Rich

Original photo
Congratulations, and a beautiful bird!

Not at all....I do have a post production program....I'm a little old school so I don't use it for anything except experimenting and enlarging...just something about 'fixing' an original that makes it...I guess, not original...LOL.

Congratulations! I only saw my first one last December - on the 10th to be exact. Don’t beat yourself up about the WB mishap. You won’t make the same mistake next time.
Good shots, Raymond! (Funny, your name is Raymond John and our son is John Raymond!)
