Not all of the really cool sights I saw were strictly "natural wonders." I found Indian Creek State Park on my way to the Needles. There I found Newspaper Rock, one of the largest known examples of Native American petroglyphs.
Then, since I am on the topic of "hand-of-man" stuff, I swung-by Bluff Fort on the way to Page.
Newspaper Rock is awesome! I visited it 5 years ago.

It sure is, Rick. But it scares me. Being out in the open like it is, I really fear that it will not escape vandalism for much longer, given the state of our society these days (OK, enough with the Soap Box).
Is the fence still there? That helps to keep the rabble away, but I saw signs of graffiti, too.

There is a fence (of sorts) there that might act as a deterrent for a less-than-determined 5 year old. Hopefully, I'm just a jaded easterner over reacting to all of the vandalism/graffiti I see where I live.
Fond memories of Newspaper rock and the Needles district of Canyonlands. I didn't know about Bluff Fort, so will have to go back to explore that.
