Nice capture of a Cottonmouth Mike and yes they can be very, very aggressive....

Fishing in that area 50 years ago I was startled more than once by one of these guys. Back home in Texas, I still see more

Beautiful snake. It is one of our four poisonous snakes here in the USA. Five if you count a snake in California with a stinger on it's tail that zaps small rodents with it.
