I have a CXIII Master hunter. I think I got it around 1985. It's 27 years old. State of the art in its day. I got one of those huge loops. We're you using a large loop for the deep find?
Wow, what a find. Do your research, check on EBAY, and contact an auction company like Bonham's. I've got contact info it you want it. They have offices in San Francisco and N. Y.

No to many trees on the wagon trail, I was on. It was a real soft beep if it was not for headphones I would not had heard it.
Lets start an auction now. I bid $200.00.
What does the wngraving say and are there any maker's markings on it?
Great find. Keep it. Treasure it. Why does everything need to be about money? Check the area where you found it for perhaps even greater finds.

Great find and excellent pictures Allen. That should buy several new cameras. Ground here is so dry and hard you need an air hammer to dig! My detectors are in the closet.
As a history/civil war buff, that is a fantastic find!
Find something else to sell, BUT keep the saber. If you sell it, one day you will wish you hadn't!!

Your Crazy, get an apraisal from a professional. Then find out what a reputable Auction House would charge to sell it. You can also set a Price Limit so if it brings too little you don't have to sell, just pay a small fee. Pawn Shops are rip off artists, Even on TV

Take it to pawn stars.
MadMike, you are SO RIGHT!!!! Ripoff artists. Take the sword and the clothing if the cloths are in good condition to a reputable gallery like sothebys. they will give you an accurate appraisal. then go from there. But DO NOT GO TO PAWNSTARS !!!!!!!
Have it professionally appraised.
I have a feeling it's worth a lot more than you are expecting.
