Once you have the menu open for selecting file type, use the cross keys on the back of the body, move the box up to your choice. (this next bit seems to be omitted from my manual) NEXT, again using the cross keys move the box to the right hand column, e.g. over the "RAW+Jpeg". Press set.
You should be good to go. Just take a couple of test shots and see if you have both RAW and Jpeg.
Best of luck.
Thanks! I had assumed that RAW+Jpeg was already set because when I opened "Quality", that is what appeared. Normally the active option is the one displayed, so .... But I did as you suggested and Voila! There was a slight change in the menu display ("RAW+ (large Jpeg symbol) appeared just to the left side of the menu header) and when I did a test shot, both CR2 and Jpeg were present. I appreciate your help. Now I just need to see what all the talk has been about and if the end result is worth the extra PP. Looks good so far.
