I like your sunlight and contrast control Bob! Both thanks to the cloud blocking the intense sun.
Good composition and a pleasing landscape.
Thank you for sharing!
Impressive. I like how you cropped to emphasize the sky. You do good B/W's.
Nice, really nice photo Bob, quite a nice variety of clouds in that scene...hope they're not Chem Clouds...
Really nice B&W work. Glad you posted it.
Beautiful shot - looks great in black & white!
Thank you for your visit and comment, Jack.

Excellent image Bob.
Thank you, Frank. Very much appreciated.
To answer your question, "According to the book, Roadside History of Arizona, by Marshall Trimble, "Mingus Mountain was named for Joseph and Jacob Mingus, two brothers who settled in the area in the 1880s and later operated a sawmill near the base of the mountain". Another source attributes the name to William Mingus (d. 1911, Prescott, Arizona), a pioneer prospector who lived and worked on Mingus Mountain in the 1870s". - Wikipedia.

Really like that, thanks. Mingus Mountain? Was it named after Charles?

Beautiful b/w shot enhanced by great capture of light and clouds. Like the way you've framed the shot showing the ominous sky. Great job!
Very nice, especially the storm clouds. I'm familiar with that area (Prescott Valley) . I'd be curious what you could do on the other side of the mountain in Jerome. I think there some great B&W photo ops in that unique mining town.
Thanks, hiker60. I appreciate your visit and comments.

alberio, it was the clouds that inspired me to take this photograph. I've been to Jerome many times. I love the area, but with the number of people wandering around, it's difficult to get a photograph I'd like.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
