I would go for #2 & #3. The attitude of that jet is a real selling point in my view. I like the Red Bull photo as it fills the whole frame and the pilot is visible. As for the Blue Angels photo they are a dime a dozen. It would take something really exceptional to win with that one IMHO.
Enter them all, use your wife's name on second set. If she wins give her the prizes as a "I was thinking of you gift."

Nice thought, but I'd have to find a wife first (and she'd have to be a club member). Kinda late for that!

I've decided (but I haven't taped them to the board yet) that I'll be consistent and enter all prop shots...the Red Bull (I up-sized it in PSE and reprinted it on a 13x19 sheet), the Skip Stewart because of the split-second timing, and Team Aeroshell (below) since I already had it dry mounted.

Good luck, let us know which one won and why.

OK, but knowing my luck it'll be some old railroad bridge or a kitten.

Good luck in the show. How can the judges not be impressed with planes???? Here's one of my favorites of the AeroShell team....John
My .02. I would go with #1 and the Blue Angels. When I downloaded the Angels, you can see the face of the lead pilot! That's amazing.

As an unashamed lover of all things nostalgic photo number 1 with Skip Stewart flying his Prometheus biplane doing biplane things down on the deck stirs my soul but after 27 years in the AF jets also rattle my brains so for raw dramatic energy and power the number 2 F-35 photo is hard to beat.

The judge, we were told at the last meeting tends to like saturated colors, thus my decision against the F-35. He is going to be giving a presentation on the WOW factor just before the contest. We're going to be dining Dutch treat just before the meeting since it's our fiscal year-end activity.

I don't know how it will do in the photo contest Tuesday, but I was just reading my daily aviation e-newsletter and found that my Team Aeroshell pic was named "Picture of the Week" !!! :) I achieved the same thing in October 2011 with a pic of an F-18 in camo paint scheme. I think I'll post is separately under published or just gallery. The award, if they give me a second one is a baseball cap with the website logo.

Well, we had a substitute judge (illness) who did a presentation on travel photography as opposed to the WOW factor. Each of my shots got 'shot down' in the first round. The three winners were all B/W prints - some dark cave-looking pic, a blurry bicycle (taken during a local race) and an architectural abstract. The Red Bull was too centered, Skip Stewart was too busy (people, flagpoles, ribbons) and the Team Aeroshell should have been aiming up. Well, as he mentioned at the end...it's one person's opinion.
Just goes to show you that everyone's opinion is different: "best ..." to one group, "meh ..." to another. One man's trash is another's ... etc.
Congrats on the "Picture of the Week", though!
