Did you buy the camera? If not, what are you doing here, or should I say, "spewing" here?

Did you? According to you no one can post unless they are buying the camera.

My interest in the conversation is about the camera. I own one very similar. My interest and contributions to this thread began when rcdovala wrote, "At this moment, Canon is offering a refurbished 6D for $899 with 1-year of Canon warranty." Unfortunately, that edifying statement of fact brought flamers such as you into the conversation, who would rather the forum remain ignorant.

Good to know that you consider the forum to be ignorant. If your interest is about the camera are you going to buy it?

This conversation reminds me of when I wanted to sell a dirt bike for $1,200USD.
No takers.
The president of the cycle club asked why I don't just sell it for $900.00 dollars and get rid of it?
I said "for 900.00 dollars I'll keep it and use it for mud runs".

Fortunately I still have it.

Not so, obviously.

Notwithstanding that not everyone entering the discussion thread knew of Canon's 6D sale on refurbs . . . My statement does not insinuate that I think the forum is ignorant, but that you do. It essentially charges you and those from your position of considering some, maybe a potential buyer, of not knowing about the Canon sale. Why? Because if the entire forum already knows that Canon has a refurb for the same price, then it should matter to no one that such a statement is placed as a comment. Your response would rather have been, "But we all know that." Since it did matter to you and others, it appears that you thought the forum was ignorant.

Well put. That's what I would do with the 6D, keep it. The camera is for good reason always tops on the list of affordable full formats. It's a great market achievement by Canon. I keep looking and being tempted by sexier boxes, which only makes me appreciate what I have all the more.

As a 6D owner, it's about the photography. Anyone who takes this deal, should be satisfied for life, like you, having a good old dirt bike, worth more to you than the rest of the world. That describes the 6D for just about all of us owners.

I'm not feeling any common courtesy from you, TriX. None. It is obvious that you want to express your opinion on how other people should not express theirs ~~ in this here open forum with open comment boxes for us all to fill in, not just you and those with your opinion.

What has been terribly obvious from the very moment you began throwing your brand of trash into this thread, is that you still have no intention of purchasing the item, none, and that you, yes you, TriX, as your only purpose for flaming a thread, is to tell others what you have decided is courtesy, that we in all our experience being alive, and navigating conversations of all sorts, need to get a clue from none other than you, how to behave when, well, when you're around. That's bull and you're the bully.

My reason for entering the conversation is clear, even if none of your damn business. I indeed own a camera very similar to the one for sale. You, however, are all talk. And another shame of it is that you are in the amateur wrestling community, have grandchildren, and should therefore know better.

How much are you willing to pay for the camera here for sale? You, TriX. Put up or shut up.
I'm not feeling any common courtesy from you, TriX... (show quote)

How much are you willing to pay and why are you here? Just because you own a 6D hardly gives you some inate right to trash the seller’s post. I offered to end this 2 pages ago, but you just won’t let it go, will you? Your endless posts in this thread must comprise about half of your total posts since you’ve been a member since 2015.

Now what is really none of your business are my grandchildren or my involvement in the wrestling community, and not only is that completely off-subject, but a personal attack as well, something that I have not done in any of my posts on this subject or any other. And if you don’t understand that, then google ad hominem attacks, and take any more personal insults where they belong - to the attic.

I have offered you several rational and civil (even if you don’t agree) arguments as to why what you’re advocating is bad behavior and asked if you’d like this done to you. Rather than a rational disagreement (which I could respect), you’ve now descended to personal attacks - a sure sign that your argument is weak and you aren’t willing to answer the question I raised. Again, is this the way you want to be treated - either for any future for sale posts, or personal attacks on your posts? Don’t bother to respond to me - just think about it, because I won’t be watching anymore, but your posts (and personal attacks and threats) in this thread have not reflected well on you.

Okay TriX, just go, please. You have had no business whatsoever telling me what to write or not write in this thread, or any other for that matter. You are so far out of line, and have not got a clue. You suck at being a forum member here.

This is a two edged sword ... I see it both ways. I don't thing the OP was trying anything shady so I probably would of kept my mouth shut. On the other hand I've seen deals that were way over priced and I do think it is the ethical thing to do to point it out ... I know I would appreciate it if someone did the same for me.

In this situation I probably would of PM's the OP with the info. If he/she didn't change the price over the next 24 hours and I saw someone say they are interested or they PM'd the OP I would send a PM to the person interested ....

What happened reminds me of this video of a tiger versus a bear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ggJ627z4jU.

The tiger wanted the watering hole to be its own watering hole, and stayed perched by the water on one hot dry day.

Along comes a bear with her cub, and considers it okay to drink at the watering hole, a welcome, refreshing sight.

The tiger attacks, and for the sake of a simple drink of water, the bear is left to chase the tiger away, but not before having to deal with bites, scratches and other methods of attack, including wrestling holds.

I am sure that many in the area, would have just run away from the tiger, then stayed away, even those animals who could have fought the tiger off, but would want nothing to do with the bites and scratches.

Don't know what this meaningless illustration has to do with anything. Certainly nothing to do with the debate that's been taking place regarding trying to poison someone's posting of an item for sale.
