No bullies here unless you think anyone who disagrees with you is a bully. In fact what you’re doing is bullying the OP. This isn’t an opinion issue, this is a principal issue. What you’re advocating (torpedoing another member’s listing with no intention of buying) is just plain wrong, period. This isn’t about censorship or freedom of information, it IS about courtesy and bad behavior toward other members when you have zero “skin in the game” except the intention of doing harm to the seller under the guise of “protecting” other (apparently naive) members from “paying too much”. I’m sorry that you don’t seem to be able to grasp that concept.

Congratulations on your new Canon 6D, TriX. You'll love it as I do.

If I am wrong and you have not bought it, then take your own advise, do us all a courtesy, and leave the thread.

I'm sorry that this thread has gotten to the point that it has. I really don't see myself participating going forward. However, I do have one question for TriX. I'm not the first person to notify a seller that his price might be out of line. In fact, I placed a link to an identical situation that occurred much before this thread. I don' know if you bothered to look at it. So, my question to you is why did you single me out and none of the others?

I singled you out too.

Actually, it was more for the benefit of the seller rather than the buyer. I thought he might have a difficult time selling the item not knowing there were more attractive offers available to the buyer.

Yeah my post was about as sincere as yours.

Rusbowden, I don’t have or are interested in a 6D, I have a 5D MKIII (which you can see from my signature block). What I am interested in is common courtesy to the seller, something that seems to be incomprehensible to you. And no, I won’t leave the thread as long as you and the other self-appointed “protector of the members’ interests” persist in trying to defend your indefensible trashing of the seller’s thread. It was wrong, it’s still wrong, and nothing you can say (other than an apology to the seller) will make it right.

I didn’t single you out. I don’t read all the for sale posts, only ones that apply to my interests (typically Canon or Fuji), and if you look, I reacted in the same way within the last few weeks to a similar post as yours. In that case, the poster realized that his action was incorrect, and unlike this thread, where you and one other seem determined to justify your actions, it ended there. I am sensitive to this issue (as are others - it’s been raised multiple times before) because I have been the victim of this kind of obnoxious behavior. Can you really not see that you are not the self-appointed protector of the poor uninformed members of the forum, that it is really not your place to critique another member’s listing and that you have harmed him by doing so? Really? You could have stopped this 4 pages ago by simply stating that you intruded on another member’s post, apologized and committed to not repeat this in the future, but you have chosen not to do that, hence this messy and seemingly unending thread.

So why not PM him? Would you agree that would have been a better tactic, and would you handle this differently in the future? If so, we’re done.

I'm not feeling any common courtesy from you, TriX. None. It is obvious that you want to express your opinion on how other people should not express theirs ~~ in this here open forum with open comment boxes for us all to fill in, not just you and those with your opinion.

What has been terribly obvious from the very moment you began throwing your brand of trash into this thread, is that you still have no intention of purchasing the item, none, and that you, yes you, TriX, as your only purpose for flaming a thread, is to tell others what you have decided is courtesy, that we in all our experience being alive, and navigating conversations of all sorts, need to get a clue from none other than you, how to behave when, well, when you're around. That's bull and you're the bully.

My reason for entering the conversation is clear, even if none of your damn business. I indeed own a camera very similar to the one for sale. You, however, are all talk. And another shame of it is that you are in the amateur wrestling community, have grandchildren, and should therefore know better.

How much are you willing to pay for the camera here for sale? You, TriX. Put up or shut up.
