#1 It seems my subjects are always trying to escape. This bull has an unusal dongle.
#2 I guess the outhouse is not available right now.
#3 Food fight!

If there is someone in the outhouse I hope there is plenty of TP! Great shots !
All nice shots (Didn't like #2, too busy).
But what's the story with #3? Impressive photo but Two adult bald Eagles fighting over what? That's a juvinile bald Eagle on the ground, no other food around.
Nice shots.
The outhouse shot reminds me of a story from my childhood. We had a cabin "up north" and once while at the dump found an old mounted moose head that my dad just had to have. He put it up between two trees outside our outhouse so that it was the first thing you saw coming out, but not necessarily going in. As you can guess my dad was quite the practical joker. All of us kids would wait for the screams when someone new went to use the outhouse.

KINDAVACANT said it was "too busy" but as luck would have it, it was not at the time. For some unknown reason Moose are attracted to our old privy.

Yes, it was a "food fight". What you don't see is the eagle that snached the salmon carcass and took off during the rucus. There were six eagles involved in this food fight.
Here is another scene with no food showing.

Seems like outhouses have long been the butt end of many practical jokes, pun intended.

The food fight shot is on the Anchor River, about 9 miles from here.
The eagles in ice shot was taken from the Homer Spit on the Kachemak Bay side.
The Moose pics were from around our home.
Thanks for your interest.
Thanks for the updated shot on the Eagles. Both are impressive shots but I'm more interested in the story behind it. Okay it was a food fight obviously, but on the original photo the food was gone. Did the Eagle on the left tick off the Eagle on the right?
And shot #2 is busy as there's no focus point. Flowers, Moose, Outhouse and background trees, all in focus for the most part, Moose not so much. Too much to deal with, it was too 'busy' and a bad shot. So yea, KINDAVACANT doesn't like Photo #2. It lacked a focus point and DOF.

While the two eagles pictured are fighting, a third eagle grabbed what was left of the carcass and flew away. If the shot had been wider you could have seen that happening. The "food fight" actually lasted about ten minutes and involved six or seven birds. As to what the attitude of one bird toward the other is, I have no idea. Eagles fight over food all the time. They steal from other birds and each other. It's what they do.
I love the food fight photo
