Hello all:
Recently, I've been unable to upload new albums from Picasa to Google Photos. I've been using those programs for years to both edit my photos and store the resulting albums in Google Photos (previously Picasaweb). Now I get the following error messages; "failed to download album list" and "failed to receive URL for upload". Has anyone been experiencing the same problem? Any solution?
I know that Picasa is no longer supported by Google but it is still a viable program. I have been able to save Picasa albums and then upload them from the C drive to Google Photos but it's not as convenient.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
marcoj
I’d like to hear about this also.
I have used Picasa 3 for years on my old Win7 computer. As you probably know, it is no longer available. The current option is something called Google's Picasa via Photo Apps. So, I did that link and got the program to make my collage. However, I did not like the formation sequence of my collage. So, I went in and tried to edot the collage--like I could with Picasa 3. You can maybe resize your images and get a different sequence. Other than that, you have nothing like the options and ease and multi options that are in Picasa 3. There is some other collage program that is suppose to be free through Goggle but you are required to go through the Google App store and through that maze. My advice: If you have Picasa 3 and want to edit and make collages, keep Picasa 3 on your old computer and hope it never crashes. Another major plus: the collages are easily converted to 8x10 photos for prints.
Google Photos works perfectly for me, I have never had any problems at all.

This past week I uploaded two images to a Google Photos album and was unable to edit the album (i.e., move the images to their proper places). Never happened before.
Only thing left to try is to restart Chrome, which sometimes fixes other issues.

Hi,
Generally, photos that are visible in Picasa are not stored in Picasa. Picasa is browser & editing software. It views your photos and allows editing, but unless you have designated a different storage folder, your photos are most likely stored in Pictures or My Pictures. (Windows PC)

Some links contain malware. I have a download in my Dropbox - safe. Others on UHH have used it. PM ME IF INTERESTED. I’ll need your email address.
