Nice set Angela. I can't see the tail on the last shot, but is looks close to a Boat-tailed Grackle.
Thanks, Jan.... do these help?
I've never heard of a boat-tailed grackle, but he was beautiful and wish them came to my garden!!

Angela, Jan is correct and one of my books also points to the same one. Grackles are also egg thieves like the Brown Headed Cowbird.

Thanks, Greg... I didn't know they were like cowbirds... I have so many grackles and starlings in my hard.
Great shots Angela, shame the first one has such a scabby head and beak with such beautiful plumage.

LOL... He's a wood stork and is in desperate need of some heavy duty skin cream!! Glad you enjoyed these, Val!
I don't know how your rain situation is, but today is the second day of heavy rains and winds.... thankfully Buster is a wee-wee pad dog and doesn't have to go out in it!!

Hi Angela, it has been a good day here today which is good as my fence is being replaced. Now half done and the rest will be done tomorrow. Blue was not happy as he likes to go and lay in the garden but can get into next doors at the moment so is only out for a few mins and that is supervised... I take it all your white stuff had now gone...

I know you and Blue will be happy when that is finished!! White stuff is all gone, but the weather bug is calling for more on Friday & Saturday... I can't believe this and next week three days of rain again!!!
We were supposed to have a spring cleanup done on Monday, with the snow and now with the rain, I don't know when it will get done, but at least the fallen leaves are keeping the plants warm until the sun comes out.
Have a great day, Val... me, I'm staying put!!
Nice shots! The last one is a Brownheaded Cowbird.
