steinr98 I was reading your post about displaying photos on your television. You said to make sure the long side of your photos are at least 2000 pixels. Is this for the 4K televsions or any television? Also, what pixel number do you suggest for the vertical side? I haven't displayed any photos on my television and would love to do that but want to fill the screen when I do. Thank you for your help.

"but want to fill the screen when I do."

In the camera or in post processing, crop to 16x9 for all HD and 4K flat screens. 4K screens are 3840 x 2160. By cropping to 16x9, all the space on the TV will fill. The best image should be when you have 3840 or more pixels horizontal in your JPEG image file.

I need somebody to advise. I have a Nikon 7100 -> 24 mb photos (they should be more than 4k). I would like to see them in good quality, so I plan on buying a 4K TV (monitor) . Would I be able to see them without a 4k computer? (if I buy a computer monitor I would have to also buy a 4k computer....with a good graphic card = $$$)

My older TV has a USB port and I can see the slide show (NOT Power Point) from a flash drive which I plug in the USB port on the side of the TV set. I just use the TV controller and forward individual pictures or set a slide show by a TV controller. If you have tried this, your simple Yes or No answer will make it.

Yes, I can try it in the store, but today's sales people are not quite friendly nor knowledgeable .
Thank You

Yes, Samsung Smart TV. 4K should be 3840x2160 pixels or more to fill the screen with 16:9 aspect ratio.

That's true if you use a computer to display the image on the TV. However, when I tried to display my images on the TV using an USB thumb drive the TV won't display images that are larger than 3840x2160.

I have a four year old Samsung 1080P HDTV set that displays my 16MP (4608 by 3456) Lumix images just fine. It’s never refused...

Mine is only a less than 2 year old Sony. Perhaps Sony isn't as flexible as Samsung.
