So glad to hear of your renewed passion for photography! Your camera is one of the better point and shoot ones, however, let me encourage you to move to a DSLR in the future and learn composition, the exposure triangle, a PP program, etc. You will find much more control and learning is really enjoyable. Not to mention the fact you will see a marked improvement in your ability to produce fantastic shots you will be more proud of than this first one. It's a good shot but you can do much better with time, a good DSLR, a couple of lens and practice, practice, practice. Good shooting to you!

I was very proud of my photo until the first reply came in...lol... I do have a DSRL, its too bulky, I like to take photos when I'm hiking, kayaking, motorcycling, bicycling ....no desire to be carrying a bunch of lenses, tripod, big camera with me, but still being able to enjoy taking good photos. Good advice though 🙂

I was very proud of my photo until the first reply came in...lol... I do have a DSRL, its too bulky, I like to take photos when I'm hiking, kayaking, motorcycling, bicycling ....no desire to be carrying a bunch of lenses, tripod, big camera with me, but still being able to enjoy taking good photos. Good advice though 🙂

really a great shot. You were very kind about that first reply. I thought it was rude and a bit condescending. I prolly not smart as him are :( Opps... sorry, I needs to stop fo I really gets in trouble. Congratulations on your new camera and good eye. Maybe you can put a side car on your Kayak so you can carry all dat other stuff.
