I have been using the d200 since it came out I love it. I think it's time to upgrade. I shoot landscape and nature. Also my daughters marching band in high school. I will be getting the 500 real soon, with it I have a few 2.8 lens Tamron 70-200mm and a 17-50 mm. And a Tamron 100- 500 mm 5.6 and a sb 800 speedlight, with that all said any suggestions on when I get it ?

I'm unclear what you want from this post. You are obviously purchasing the camera. So what is it you want suggestions for? I'm sure you'll love it; I have one and love it and everyone else seems to love their D500, too, great buffer for action shots. I actually started with a D200 but gave it away long ago. Enjoy your new camera.
All I was wondering is what should I expect with the new d500, compared to the d200?
You will notice the higher resolution. But the big deal will be the speed it can acquire focus. Also, 10 frames a second is nice in some situations. The LCD screen is much easier to see, and tilts. It won't be too hard a transition, and it will be worth it.
Congrats.

Get the D500 if it does not put you in a financial burden. The D200 is an oldie. You can get better resolution with an entry-level D3300 with 24 megapixels. You already have some very good lenses to pair with the D500. And one of the best flash units. Sell the D200, or keep it for a backup. You'll have the best crop sensor DSLR available today. A great low light, wildlife, and sports camera. All in one. Plus 10fps.
Ok thank you for that info. I will be getting the 500 just a few hundred left on the balance. And yes the 200 for a backup

It will be a great camera for your existing kit. Enjoy it. Here's a link to Tony Northrup's D500 Tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqNGbK6W3oc&feature=youtu.beI've found the best availability on XQD memory, and there isn't any price break, is Sony's XQD cards on Amazon. I use 64 Gb XQD, because that's what I could find when I started using my D850.
You will enjoy it. Have fun, it's a great camera.

If you want a deal, at Christmas Nikon will throw in a 16-80 at half price and a vertical grip for free. They may offer this deal in the spring, not sure.
I have a D500. Here are just a couple of tips on the setup. The video record button, to the left and behind the shutter button, can be re-programmed to execute mode. Mode is in the group of four buttons on the top left of the camera but it's much more convenient to have it next to the shutter button. I don't shoot video so I re-programmed mine. Program the Fn2 button on the back of the camera to execute My Menu, then load My Menu with frequently used items. Program the Fn1 button also.

Expect(besides that already mentioned) a quantum leap in low light image quality!
In my humble opinion the D200 has one of the best colors in camera of those of other Nikon bodies except for the D2X which has similar colors. I prefer Nikon lenses with my Nikon cameras not saying you can do very well with what you have.
I have used the D200 but not for action or wildlife photography so I cannot make any comments on its AF system. The D500 is much more modern with excellent performance from what I know in low light and sports and its AF is superior.
For landscapes and walk around the D200 should be all you need so do not get rid of it till it dies.
