then that $86 neck lanyard might be worthwhile.

I wear the lanyard by itself at social events.

The ExpoDisk folks need to know this!!
They can start marketing it as the MultiDisk! A true multi-tasking photographic device.
(But be sure to hold out for a fee!)

Mine is reversible!

Lanyard!!! Mine is actually made by Armani and re-labeled ExpoDisc. Seriously, as far as I know, there weren't any copy-cat products when I bought mine a long time ago.

I use one of these, about as cheap as that coffee filter, but fits a little neater. It comes in several sizes.

Good thing shipping is free. It would cost more than the filter!

I've used one and they help you create a pretty good custom white balance. Every manufacturer claims their's is the best. I'm currently using a ColorRight Pro, but previously used a translucent card to shoot through that I can't remember the name of, but it was pretty good. I have a friend that uses a BaLens, which works for him.

Another alternative is this;

BRNO baLens BAL72 72mm White Balance Snap-on Lens Cap with Neutral and Warm Domes

I have one (they come in different sizes and I believe the larger they are, the more expensive) It works very well for me and is very easy to use. It serves as a lens cap too!

Finally, something I don't need. I've purchase more photo stuff this year. I was totally out of control. I'm O.K. now.

Sorry expodisk! Shooting RAW with my D800e and CS6 makes my life complete.

I am still using my coffee filter. Santa didn't bring it this year. :) He did get me a good SU800 tho, so the coffee filter will go another year.

Explanation, please.
You put the coffee filter over the lens, point the camera from the subject to the camera position and do a custom w/b. Works better with decaf.

Interesting. I use a permanent coffee filter, but I think I have a few white ones left over.

I saw this for the first time and the photographer using it is a real pro. She shoots in Charlotte for her company called In His Image and the photos she gets are amazing. She only shoots fully manual, always white balances and her work is fantastic. I don't know what filter it is but I will find out. It seems to make a huge difference. http://inhisimagebyjulie.com/
