Like a good lens, a light meter is a long-time investment.
I agree with you I am specializing in macro of plant interiors for pleasure, I have recently purchased the canon 100mm professional, it is a wonderful lens.
Another great one is the sekonic 358.

Wish they would have chosen different color scheme on that one.
I have it and have a hard time reading the lettering against the silver case, but it is a really good meter.

I use this meter. You can get a rf insert that will trigger Pocketwizards. Push a button on the meter -- trigger your flash. You get the reading.
i use the little sekonic 308s and it is great..has never let me down.
i think it's pretty nice that you got some great answers besides the crappy....this subject has been brought up before, do a search.
i know quite a few pro photographers and they pretty much all use the sekonic 358, as captain stated. i bought the 308s because i couldn't afford the 358 at the time, but i have been very happy with it. i would buy the 358, based on that's pretty much what the pro's use.
