One time I went on a bike hike (don't remember if it was for charity or fun) from Prospect Heights(?) to Brookfield Zoo on my birthday (25 miles). Took my 2.5 hrs and someone with a van gave me a ride home after spending the day looking at the exhibits.

Thank you RJWagons! There's a lot of outstanding photographers capturing images at Brookfield where the animals are exhibited without cages and similar barriers.

Hey Gary, Brookfield is at least a half hour drive for me in a car. I only get out their in spurts. I had a car for a few years with an assignment in the suburbs that drove me past the exit for the zoo every day. Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you Fran! I was to Brookfield a few times in the early months of 2016 in a particularly harsh winter. The 6-month and 2.5-year gorilla cousins were quite active and generated a lot of great images when I was there almost by myself. Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you Nosaj! I learn a bit more about the animals in looking for some background comments. For several I even have to find the name of the species if I failed to capture an image of their title while at the zoo. Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you Jaxfish! I've been working / reworking a images from a few years ago with a fresh eye and new tools, in some cases making tangible improvements to what had previously been a best effort. Glad you've enjoyed my contributions.

Thank you Janos! I've lived near the lake in Chicago for most of the now 28-years. My first visit to Brookfield was only in 2015. I've been back many times since. Glad you enjoyed.
