Last summer I posted #1 of a mutated non-round sunflower.
I cut the head off after it died but before the birds got all the seeds and put it in a big ZipLoc bag. After several months it is now completely dried out and looks like this. #2 It has very small seeds, much smaller than the size of the ones in my bird feed. #3 Wanger's bird feed on top - the mutated bloom's seeds on bottom. I am saving most of them but have planted these three in a pot to see what results. Maybe I will get a lot more non-standard shaped Sunflowers.
