The batteries for my Canon 80D have flimsy protective covers. I am wondering if there are alternatives to protect the battery contacts. Tape seems an unlikely solution. Has anyone found a more secure solution or is it not an issue?
Thanks, Larry

Thanks for replying 'Longshadow'. I had seen these. I was looking for a less bulky solution since my bag is kinda full and the TT bat. holder looks bulkier than I have room.
Appreciate it though, Larry

That is what I use also. Think Tank Battery Holder. Long shadow and I agree.

Thanks for your suggestions. I solved (actually my wife did) my issue. The flimsy battery covers are now secured by a rubber band. I got a package of them for less than $2 and help to create resistance to sliding out of the pocket, and with the band around the covers, they won't pop off.
"Why don't you just put a rubber band around them?" she said.
Boing!! "Right-o!" I said. Job done.
Thanks again, all.

I find the covers adequate. I have even ordered more covers. If the covers won't stay on, I use a rubber band.

I put spare batteries (single) in a plastic 'Sandwich bag ' and secure with rubber band. Can be used over and over again.

I have always used the small battery pockets that you can attach to neckstrap. The battery covers stay put and are easy to access.

Hmm, that's interesting. The battery cover that came with my 80D is very sturdy hard plastic.

There are some Hot-pockets that you do not eat; 9V battery in you pocket along with foil covered gum. Camera batteries not so bad since they are recessed. My aftermarket batteries for my Canon SX50 came with plastic caps.

I’ve lost more of those things than I want to admit.
