I performed the upgrade on my D500 and my Sigma lenses 150-600mm Sport, 18-35mm, 150mm and 180mm all focused as fast as before the update and were spot on focus.
Updated firmware on Nikon D850. Autofocus on Sigma & other lenses still works fine.

I just updated to L 2.017 and C104. I have a Nikon D7100 and a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 (IF) DXII. Autofocus works fine with this lens as well as my Nikon lenses.

The Nikon instructions did say to remove the lens before updating the firmware. I did remove the lens and all of my lenses (including the Tokina 11-16 F2.8 (IF) DXII) autofocus just fine on my D7100.

You can restore it to the previous firmware, by reinstalling the previous version, the same way as you install the new version, if it isn't working properly.

Well, based on the response, I went ahead and updated the lens data firmware. Happy to say all my nikons and tokina lens work fine. Made sure my lens was out though. Perhaps that could be the issue of those who had problems. Thanks to all.

Recently, Nikon released firmware upgrade LD 2.017. I have a D500 and a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 DXII. I heard from another UHH that his Sigma lens was no longer doing autofocus. All my other lenses are Nikon's and would like to apply the upgrade, but I would not want my wide angle to stop working. Has anyone applying this upgrade has this Tokina lens? If so, have you noticed any adverse reaction afterwards? -Thanks.

After reading your post I downloaded the update and installed it on both my D500's. My Tokina SD 12-28 F4 (IF) DX ATX-Pro, Tokina 100 F2.8D ATX-Pro, and SIGMA DC 17-50 1:2.8EX HSM lenses continue to autofocus and there are no loss of other functions. These are the only 3rd party Nikon mount lenses I have. There is a note on Nikon's download page to remove any lens from the camera before installing the software.

Have you checked with Nikon and/or Tokina?

Nikon told me that they couldn't tell me what effect the upgrade would have on my two Sigma lenses. I chose to skip this and any future upgrades that would put my Sigmas out of business...

I have been told by some, that Nikon does not give advice on competitors lenses. Such as third party/Aftermarket lenses.
