It was a great day with the family at the beach. My two boys, their wives and kids were there along with my wife and I. It was the first time for 2 of my 4 grandkids to try surfing in the extreme shore break at T Street in San Clemente, Calif. It was fun to document the event along with other fun shots. Those of you with grandkids know how much fun it is to photograph them!

how cute...looks like everyone is having fun. my older son had naturally curly hair like that when he was little.
now he shaves his curls off.lol.

Great series, Brent. I spent many afternoons at T Street...more than 50 years ago. I just checked it out a few weeks ago.

Looks like you had a great day with the family. Looks like your granddaughter was unsure of the surfboard. Cute.. Still waiting for our grandkids but it looks like a boat load, maybe a surfboard, full of fun.

There ya go LBOYD1946.......I would guess that your grandson is standing up on the board already right? He looks old enough to be at that stage.

Dave, with that information you just gave me, I would say that you are at least 55 years old!
If you live in Virginia, why were you out here on the West Coast? T st is a fun place.

Yeah Mike, it was a fun day with them at the beach. There is something about kids and the beach that is so much fun. I remember taking my kids at that age to the beach.......sandcastles, playing in the shore break, etc.

Thanks lwiley......you are right about the love but since I was taking the photos, I didn't get to play with the grand kids much. Sigh.

Cute grand-kids. Makes me smile seeing their expressions. You are making great memories. Yes, I can relate. I have five grand-kids. I have all but worn out my camera taking photos of them. We recently returned from Disneyland. Many fun photo ops there.

Brent...north of 70. I grew up in San Clemente when it had a population of 3000. Headed off to college in 1962.

Sure has changed.
