I cannot get larger than a 25mb jpg ...the Qual I set on fine. It seems that 40+ mp should produce larger files? Any advice on how to set for highest res jpg? Thx, Rick

shoot raw, high / large, and 14bit uncompressed - that will be large file.

Jpg images are HIGHLY compressed. Open one of those compressed images in Photoshop and you will see they are well over 100MB in size.
If you want to see how big files straight from that camera can get, try shooting some in TIFF!
My 24mp ones as jpeg run from 7 to 15 Meg so your 850 saving at 25meg seems about right to me. What is the width and length of the images then you will know if you are capturing in fine mode.
Even the highest quality and size JPEGs are compressed and will be much smaller than RAW or TIFF files. Also, the size of JPEG files varies depending on the amount of fine detail.

They look ok but I crop them a lot using a (85mm 1.8 Nikon)...photoing dogs in show ring. Maybe it’s my lens ..... seems that the crops should be clearer. Just thought I may not have on the right setting for largest jpg. Sounds like I do. Have not tested the Raw yet, as my computer is old and dies using Lr on even my D810 raw pics.
Realizing I need to spring for 70-200 lens
